The Vermont Bicycle & Pedestrian Coalition is offering a hands-on bicycle instruction course called Traffic Skills 101 (formerly called Road 1).  The course, part of the curricula of the League of American Bicyclists, will be taught by League Cycling Instructors Nancy Schulz and Carl Etnier.  Designed for both novice and experienced cyclists, the course involves four hours of classroom time and four hours of practice on the bicycle.  Participants will learn specific skills (rock dodge, quick stop, scanning, etc.) in a parking lot setting and will practice proper riding techniques on the streets of Montpelier. The fee for the course is $55 including lunch.  This is a great opportunity for riders to increase their enjoyment and safety while cycling.  To register or to ask questions regarding course content, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
